My goal is to keep your cat comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. Whether your cat is social and playful or shy and independent, I'll take the time to earn their trust and provide the attention they need.
I provide feeding, fresh water, litter care, companionship, and detailed updates so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind... I'm Julie, a retired Registered Nurse and lifelong cat lover who understands how important it is to leave your cat in caring, dependable hands while you're away.
My goal is to keep your cat comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. Whether your cat is social and playful or shy and independent, I'll take the time to earn their trust and provide the attention they need.
I provide feeding, fresh water, litter care, companionship, and detailed updates so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. Before accepting a booking, I like to schedule a meet-and-greet so I can get to know you and your cat. During this visit, I'll learn about your cat's routine, feeding schedule, favorite hiding spots, and any special preferences they may have. I'll also review home access, emergency contacts, and any instructions needed to keep your cat comfortable and secure while you're away.
Equally important, this visit allows your cat to meet me in a calm, low-pressure way before my first sitting visit. My goal is to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both you and your cat. I believe in open communication between myself and my cat parents so you can rest assured that your baby is being well cared for.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I was a devoted cat owner for many years for my two precious babies, Meow Meow, a beautiful orange tabby (see profile pic) my love, and Cupcake, my spoiled high maintenance tortie princess. Living with them taught me to understand their unique personalities, body language, routines, and needs, and helped me develop a patient, individual approach to caring for them.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is the wand with the feathers and bells on the end. I find that cats really respond to that because it awakens their natural hunting instincts and provides many happy minutes of active interaction.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I understand that some cats are naturally shy, cautious, or anxious when meeting new people. Rather than forcing interaction, I allow timid cats to approach me on their own terms and at their own pace. During visits, I maintain their normal routine, speak softly, and create a calm, predictable environment to help them feel secure. Even if a cat prefers to observe from a distance, I make sure they are eating, drinking, using the litter box normally, and showing no signs of distress. My goal is not to force friendship but to help your cat feel safe and comfortable while you're away.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
