What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I would first introduce myself and then discuss the cat parent's expectations for the cat sitting. I would also discuss in detail the routine that they do with their cats, so that I may follow it as best I can to reduce additional stressors for the cats. We can also discuss contingency plans for emergencies, such as what to do if their cat will not eat. We can also discuss strategies for keeping the tidiness and security of the cats and the home.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I would check all doors and windows after arriving and before leaving! I would also check all appliances and outlets as well. I would record and document all events during the cat sitting, whether they are related to the security of the cat or the home. When I leave, I would make sure no cats are near the door to reduce the risk of escaping. And most importantly, double check if the door really is locked!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I would give them ample time and space to be comfortable with my presence, even if that means I have to be in another room. I would respect their routines and feed them where they're comfortable or where they feel safest, and leave them alone if they need me to. I would move slowly and quietly around the house to make them feel more comfortable. I have an anxious cat as well, and I love her even when it takes her almost half a day to eat a single meal whenever we have visitors.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
