What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting on and off for neighbors and friends all of my life & have been professionally sitting for 3 years.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love getting to know each cat’s personality. They are all so different! I also enjoy communicating & connecting with cat parents, since we are some of the coolest people on Earth. 😀

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

It starts with entering, opening the door very narrowly, then putting my foot in first and rest of my body sideways into the door quickly. Of course, at each visit, accounting for all cats & pets. Generally noticing their condition & informing the pet parent immediately of any changes in appearance or behavior. Of course, keeping a close on their litter box and food bowls, to make sure they are eliminating and eating as they normally do. Of course, noting the temperature of the home & making sure it’s not too hot or too cold. Always making sure there is fresh water & they are fed according to parent’s instructions. Regarding exiting, I am just as conscientious about this as I am entering, including ensuring that kitty is nowhere near the door, then locking the door & checking that it is locked from the outside.

Carolyn was great with my shy kitties! She lured them out with treats and got them to play with their favorite toys. Of course she also took care of their food, water, and litter and sent me pics so I knew they were doing okay in my absence.

Carolyn is a caring and wonderful cat sitter! She is a great communicator with daily photos, and she takes seriously the cats needs for attention and love while we are away! We have one very shy cat who had always his with other sitters and one that demands daily play and attention… after two visits, our shy girl was getting pets and we could see her in Carolyn’s daily pictures and our demanding guy was relaxed when we got home… we were amazed! Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
