What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've had cats my entire life. I started helping take care of my families animals when they would go on vacation at a young age. So you could say I've been cat sitting most of my life.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Making new friends and helping keep their humans happy and confident that they are loved and cared for while they are away
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
So far, watching my friend's cat and dog while she and her husband went to Mexico for 10 days. I enjoyed staying at their home and bonding with their furbabies for an extended time. You get to know animals better when you can stay with them.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I've had cats all my life. I currently have 4 kitties; Waldo, Lyla, Opal, and Max. Waldo is the resident "little old man" at 19 years.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for someone that has or has had cats for a length of time. Ask for references and make sure you and your kitty are comfortable.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I'm usually around for holidays. Let me take care of your babies while you are vacationing and taking care of yourself!
What is your favorite cat toy?
The telescopic wands with feathers on the end! They mimic chasing bugs and small prey. Every cat I've ever had loves them!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I give them time to come to me. I sit on the floor and talk softly to them. I put my hand on the floor for them to investigate. Never put your hand over their head as it scares them.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
