My house is littered with a questionable amount of toys, a variety of water dispensers, and a smattering of yoga bolsters, boxes and floor pillows that they’ve commandeered for themselves. Lately, I’ve found myself caring for the pets of loved ones, from kittens all the way to an old retired street cat who still has that dog in him... Hello! I’m Erin. I’m a registered nurse of 15 years, reseller, gardener, crafter, roller coaster and bird-feeder enthusiast, neurodivergent, and most relevant for you, full-on cat lady.

Lately, I’ve found myself caring for the pets of loved ones, from kittens all the way to an old retired street cat who still has that dog in him. Between these experiences and life with my own cats and others who have shared my home, I feel prepared to provide the sort of quality care and attention to your cats that I would hope someone else would offer mine.
Cleaning up accidents? Been there, done that. Offering a reluctant kitty eye and oral medications? That too. Breaking up spats? Uh huh. Cat in the throes of raging hormones? Unfortunately that as well. Your pipe decides to burst as soon as you leave town or your pool water inexplicably turns the color of clam chowder? I’ve got you.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Fully and clearly communicate your needs and those of your kitties, find someone you feel truly comfortable with so you can fully enjoy your time away, and ask for lots of photos!
What is your favorite cat toy?
I use a soft measuring tape for sizing clothes as a reseller and it has somehow become both of my cats’ favorite teaser toy. We have an entire house full of cat toys, yet chasing a tape measure from room to room is still their favorite thing (and therefor mine)
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
So I I’ve been a nurse for 15 years and spent most of that time working with (human) individuals with difficult pasts and nervous systems that required taking a few extra steps to help them feel safe in my company. I too personally appreciate being approached with respect and care. I find that timid/anxious animals require this same kind of consideration. I’m mindful of my tone of voice and how I encroach upon their space. I like to offer them a chance to feel me out and become comfortable at their own pace. I was at a 10/10 in excitement when my sister’s very nervous cat finally approached me for the first time. My demeanor remained calm for her but I was jumping for joy internally.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
