I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. My husband and I have six cats, including a few with special medical needs — one is diabetic and requires multiple daily feedings and treatments. plus I’m very comfortable providing detailed, consistent care.

I worked in the veterinary field for over 20 years and have hands-on experience in all areas of a clinic. That background has given me strong medical knowledge, attention to detail, and compassion for animals of all kinds.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've been cat sitting with Meowtel, since 2021 and I absolutely love it. I also have furriends that I have cared for in their homes for years. I've looked after all sorts of cats – the shy ones, the playful ones, and everything in between. Each cat is unique and getting to know them is always an adventure.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I absolutely love getting to learn each new personality and fun behaviors of the cats I get to visit, so when it comes to my visits, we can both enjoy the time I'm in their home

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I schedule a time for our meet and greet to meet their cat in their own space – this helps me see their environment and understand their needs better. When I meet a new cat parent, it's all about getting to know them and their furry friend. I like to start with a casual chat, where we can discuss everything from their cat's personality to their favorite toys. It's important for me to get a sense of their routine as well. Then,Of course, I always make sure we're on the same page with a simple agreement that covers all the basics of care and communication

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I have a list of emergency contacts, like the nearest vet, and I always double-check with the owner about any special precautions or care instructions for their cat. Plus the clients personal veterinarian's information. Also checking windows, and doors, always watching closely entering and exiting homes. securing any chemicals or small objects that could be harmful, and making sure their food and water spots are safe and clean.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I try to be available during all holidays, to visits my furriends, please feel free to message me if a date you need isn't showinhg me available, and I will see what I can do

What is your favorite cat toy?

Every furriend has a different opinion, but I will say my lanyard always seems to get the most attention 🤭

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I will always do my best to pay attention to what makes them most comfortable, stay on their level, and always get some Intel on their favorite things and use this to convince them to be besties. And sometimes their are ones we just say hello and don't add more stress. Whatever is best for our furriends

My cat has some serious separation anxiety. She does not accept strangers well while I’m not home. Amanda did an amazing job of having patience with my cat while trying to win over her trust and calm her nerves. Amanda tried many different approaches and we saw some improvements! I received many wonderful photos from Amanda and excellent updates on my cat. She went above and beyond and I highly recommend Amanda to anyone!

Amanda was amazing! I was gone a week, longest I had left my cat and was a little nervous. She sent me pics and updates daily and I could see that my cat was doing great. She brought treats, asked first before giving them, and went out of her way to make sure the cat was happy and content. Highly recommend Amanda!

Amanda was a dream to work with. she came to meet my cats before my trip and spent quality time with them while I was gone. (we loved the photos she posted of them playing.) usually Simon and Oliver are anxious after I return from a trip but they have been very relaxed. I’d def book Amanda again!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
