What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've been cat sitting for two years now with Meowtel, and I absolutely love it. I also have furriends I have cared for in their homes for years. I've looked after all sorts of cats – the shy ones, the playful ones, and everything in between. Each cat is unique and getting to know them is always an adventure.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I schedule a time for our meet and greet to meet their cat in their own space – this helps me see their environment and understand their needs better. When I meet a new cat parent, it's all about getting to know them and their furry friend. I like to start with a casual chat, where we can discuss everything from their cat's personality to their favorite toys. It's important for me to get a sense of their routine as well. How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I have a list of emergency contacts, like the nearest vet, and I always double-check with the owner about any special precautions or care instructions for their cat. Plus the clients personal veterinarian's information. Also checking windows, and doors, always watching closely entering and exiting homes. securing any chemicals or small objects that could be harmful, and making sure their food and water spots are safe and clean.

Amanda is an excellent caretaker for my fur babies. She is an outstanding communicator and very reliable. She kept me posted every day on how things were going. I have a couple shy cats and she did her utmost to become their friend! Would highly recommend Amanda and I will definitely be using her as my pet sitter going forward.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
