My experience is deeply personal as well. I was previously owned by a Domestic Shorthair orange tabby named Theo, who passed away in July 2024... I’ve worked with a wide range of feline personalities, from playful 12-week-old kittens to seniors as old as 21 years. Many of the cats I care for have special needs, including long-term prescribed medications and insulin dependency. I’m experienced and comfortable administering oral, topical, and injectable medications, and I’m no stranger to even the messiest litter boxes.
My experience is deeply personal as well. I was previously owned by a Domestic Shorthair orange tabby named Theo, who passed away in July 2024. Theo was truly special — he had thyroid and IBD issues and was deaf — and caring for him taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of truly understanding each cat’s unique needs.
I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave a beloved fur baby, even for a short time. I believe our pets are family, and my goal is to ease that worry by making sure your cat is safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll always keep you updated with detailed visit notes and plenty of photos so you can have complete peace of mind.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have over 25 years of experience caring for cats and have been providing cat-sitting services professionally for several years. During that time, I’ve cared for cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities, including kittens, seniors, and many with special needs such as medication management and insulin dependency. Cat care has always been a major part of my life, both personally and professionally, and I bring that experience to every visit.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would encourage cat parents to look for a sitter who takes the time to understand their cat’s unique personality, routines, and needs. A good sitter should be patient, observant, and willing to let the cat set the pace, especially with shy or anxious kitties. It’s also important to choose someone who communicates well — regular updates and photos can make a big difference in easing worry while you’re away. Most of all, trust your instincts and choose a sitter who treats your cat like family, not just another booking.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I take safety, security, and privacy very seriously. I carefully follow each cat’s routine and the household guidelines provided by the client. When entering and leaving, I triple-check all doors and locks to make sure everything is secure. I handle keys and access information responsibly and never share client details or home access with anyone. Inside the home, I ensure food and medications are given exactly as instructed, keep hazardous items out of reach, and closely observe the cat’s behavior so I can quickly notice anything out of the ordinary. I also make sure the home is left just as I found it. Clear communication and regular updates help give cat parents peace of mind while they’re away.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
