What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for 10 years now. I haven’t had any cats with medical issues to take care of with the exception of my own.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I initially took care of the previous cat for this owner before the cat passed to cancer. The new one they adopted was very skitsy and wanted nothing to do with me the first 2 visits but by the end of the week she was crawling on my lap for pets and came running to the door with me when the visit was over like she wanted to come home with me.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I never chase them down. I always let them come to me on their own terms, I’ll try to let them if they come up to me but if they run I’ll pretend I don’t see them checking me out until they initiate pets. I always ask owners about bringing treats to try to get them to warm up.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
