Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes, I have three cats named Belle, Jane, and Lizzie. In the past I shared my life with my three other cats Fonzie, Lakota, and Dixie, who have since passed away. Each one had their own unique personality and taught me something different about caring for cats. I love my cats very much, and they are truly part of my family. Living with six cats over the years has given me experience with a variety of temperaments, routines, and care needs. I understand that every cat is unique, and I enjoy taking the time to earn their trust, respect their boundaries, and make them feel safe and comfortable. As a cat parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone who will care for your cats as if they were their own.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I am available during the holidays. I understand how important it is for cat parents to have a reliable, trustworthy sitter when traveling during busy holiday seasons. As a dedicated cat parent, I know that keeping cats comfortable in their own environment is especially important when their routines are disrupted. Whether your cat is social and playful or shy and reserved. I’ll provide attentive care, follow their routine, and keep you updated so you can enjoy your holiday with peace of mind.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I absolutely love spoiling my cats, and they have an entire toy box dedicated just for them! They love toys with feathers and string, especially when they can pounce from their cat tunnels. I enjoy spending time playing with them and making sure they get plenty of enrichment and attention. Belle loves sitting with me while I work, so I bought her a cat-shaped laptop scratcher so she can “work” alongside me. Jane is all about feather wands and string toys, and we’ll run around the house together during playtime. Lizzie usually joins in for a few minutes before deciding she’d rather curl up for cuddles and watch a movie with me.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I’m the type of person who wants to be friends with every cat in the neighborhood when I go for a walk. I understand that not every cat is immediately social, though, and I respect that every cat has their own comfort level and personality. For shy or anxious cats, I give them space and let them decide when they’re ready to approach me. I’ll often sit on the floor so I don’t seem intimidating and allow them to investigate at their own pace. When they feel comfortable, I’ll let them sniff my hand first and decide whether they’d like pets or simply company nearby. Building trust with cats is one of my favorite parts of caring for them. My goal is always to help them feel safe, comfortable, and respected while their owners are away.
