I am a speech-language pathologist and have worked in the world of adult/geriatric speech therapy since 2012. Through fostering for Pawmetto Lifeline, I have gained many invaluable skills. I have administered several different medications/eye drops and managed medically fragile neonatal kittens.
Early morning and evenings would be the best time of day for me to provide services. I am willing to travel within the greater Columbia area.
I am happy to follow any requested protocols or routines any to ensure the client and cats are safe and comfortable. I look forward to taking care of your fur babies!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Growing up, I would pet sit (cats and dogs) for neighbors and friends so I have essentially been pet sitting for about 30 years. About 7 years ago, I started helping friends more with their pets when they went out of town and decided to look into pet sitting professionally. I have been a sitter with Meowtel since 2022. I am proud to say I have several repeat clients, and I always look forward to new clients and kitties!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know kitties and ensuring pet owners/parents know their kitties are safe, secure, happy, and cared for when they need to be away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My husband and I currently have 7 resident cats and a revolving door of foster kittens. We have Mini-G, Roscoe, Gladys, Franklin, Quill, Annie, and Wolfie. We also have a border collie mix who is part feline at this point.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I keep notes from the meet and greet so I can ensure I am following all the requested processes. I always double check the cat’s location and the locks and doors to ensure everything is secure before I leave. I am comfortable setting and deactivating various security systems after instruction.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am typically available for holiday visits. Usually, I will schedule these visits for early morning or late evening to work around family celebrations.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always let the cat lead the interaction. I’m coming into their environment so I want to ensure they feel as comfortable as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

West Columbia cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
