What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for 10 years this year! Also, my first cat I cat-sat for chose me to marry her dad! Well, if anything she allowed me to, we all know how cats are!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3 vastly different kitties! My little old lady is Reggie (aka Regina George) who was a runt and is my soulmate. My middle child is Jack, who is our fiesty home defender who loves all humans but does not approve of slobbery dogs. My youngest is also my biggest, his name is Orpheus (Greek for darkness of the night) and he is a Maine Coon!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
The way I handle particularly timid and/or anxious cats is giving them the space and respect they deserve. I will let them be the one to take the first step and set the pace! Every interaction will be on their terms and their boundaries.

Jessica was absolutely wonderful! They were consistently communicative throughout our trip and provided updates that gave us complete peace of mind. It was clear that they were genuinely invested in spending quality time with our cats rather than simply stopping by to complete the basic tasks. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats, and we could not have asked for a better experience. I would recommend Jessica without hesitation and will definitely be using them again in the future!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Lubbock cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
