As a lifelong cat owner who has shared my home with three cats, I understand that every feline has a unique personality. From the shy observer to the demanding attention-seeker.

I’m skilled at reading their cues, administering medications precisely as instructed, and following your care routine to the letter.

To reduce stress and keep things clean, I use a Litter Robot (emptied frequently) and a fresh water fountain.

I take detailed notes on each cat’s eating habits, litter box use, and behavior, so you’ll always know what’s happening. I’m equally careful with dietary needs. There will be no overfeeding and no guessing.

Your cat will get consistent, attentive care that respects their individuality and keeps them happy, healthy, and comfortable while you’re away.

Learn More About Felicia

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is discovering each cat’s unique personality. I love earning a shy cat’s trust over a few visits and seeing them go from hiding under the bed to purring beside me. It’s incredibly rewarding to provide a calm, consistent presence so they feel safe while you’re away. And honestly? I genuinely enjoy the quiet moments: a slow blink across the room, a head bump at feeding time, or watching them bat at a toy. Every cat has their own way of saying “I’m okay,” and being trusted to understand that is my favorite part.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My advice to customers is to look for a sitter who asks questions about your cat’s routines, hiding spots, favorite toys, and any medical needs. A good sitter doesn’t just feed and leave; they observe behavior, notice subtle changes, and respect your cat’s comfort level. Ask how they handle shy or anxious cats, and whether they take notes or send updates. Also, don’t underestimate the value of a clean litter box and fresh water daily. Most importantly, trust your instincts. If a sitter listens carefully and shows genuine curiosity about your cat’s personality, that’s a strong sign they’ll provide the attentive, loving care your cat deserves.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My typical process with a new pet parent starts with a conversation. I’ll ask about your cat’s routine, favorite hiding spots, dietary quirks, and any medical needs. I take careful notes on feeding amounts, medication timing, and behavior cues to watch for. Before you leave, we’ll do a walk-through so I can meet your cat and see where everything is kept. During the sit, I send daily updates with photos, track litter box use and eating habits, and follow your instructions to the letter while never guessing. I also respect that some cats need space; I let them come to me. Afterward, I leave a summary of how everything went, so you return fully informed and worry-free.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Spring cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
