Everyone who knows me will tell you that I have an incredible love and passion for my family life centered around children and fur-babies. I have been caring for and rescuing animals for over 30 years.

During that time I've worked with many rescues and local organizations to provide loving care to foster, rehabilitate, and adopt out hundreds of many cats and kittens. I have worked with feral cats in clinics to fix, vet and release. I helped out with the Mason Cat Coalition at George Mason University, Hart, Fancy Cats, etc.. I have had a few hundred cats/kittens. I cared for or nursed back to health many. Most found forever homes, however for many animals, a few adopted me and my home! I am notorious keeping the unadoptable ones! I genuinely care and love above all else.

Something important to know about me is that I am extremely meticulous in my care of animals. I have never had an animal get into places, food or medications they were not supposed to, run out the door, get lost, forget to lock the door, etc. This simply does not happen because I treat them as if they were own family members. I am as vigilant as if I were watching your human child.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is earning a cat’s trust and getting to know their unique personality. ra patience to feel comfortable and provide them feelings of safety, happiness and that they are loved. With more than 30 years of experience caring for and rescuing cats, including newborn kittens, seniors, special-needs cats, hospice cats, and feral cats, I know that the smallest details matter. I enjoy observing their behavior, recognizing subtle changes in their health or mood, and making sure their routines stay as consistent and stress-free as possible while their family is away. One of the most rewarding parts of cat sitting is seeing a timid cat begin to greet me at the door, play, or curl up beside me because they know they can trust me.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

One reservation that stands out involved caring for a shy cat who hid from everyone. Rather than forcing interaction, I let the cat set the pace, respected their space, and built trust through patience and consistency. By the end of the stay, they were greeting me, accepting affection, and even playing during my visits. Moments like that are incredibly rewarding because they remind me that trust is something you earn.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Aldie cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
