I have experience with both friendly and shy cats, delighting in getting to know each kitty's personality and tastes. I understand that cats, especially our sweet elders, often have particular routines and expectations and can face anxiety when these are disturbed. I seek to care for your cats in the manner they are used to, to ease their tiny hearts. While I currently am unable to own or foster cats of my own, I have nearly two decades of experience with cat ownership. Thus, you will know that I am always excited to come see your kitties, as I get to enjoy their presence!

When not cat-sitting, I tend a small farm, growing specialty crops. As I am based near Gainesville, I prefer to cat sit within a 30-minute drive from there, but am flexible on extending that range as needs arise. As Covid is still a concern (particularly for at-risk parties), I would be happy to show you my up-to-date vaccination card and wear a mask within your house, if that is a concern to you.

Tessie was amazing! Very communicative and responsive via chat before, during, and after our reservation. She arrived and took care of my cats as promised, checked in on them, fed them, cleaned the litter box and provided updates and pictures to make my time away less stressed about them and more enjoyable. We will definitely have Tessie sit for us again! Highly recommend her.

Tessie was phenomenal! She was kind, easygoing, communicative, and unexpectedly flexible with scheduling when I suddenly ran into last-minute travel issues. She went above and beyond to make sure my kitties were well cared for. Tessie did a great job at putting an anxious first-time traveler at ease. I can't tell you how great it was to feel completely comfortable knowing that my cats were in good hands whilst having to navigate stressful travel changes. If/when I may ever need to travel in the future, I can only hope that Tessie will be available again!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
