What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

My favorite thing about cat sitting is learning the personalities and behaviors of new cats. I think that every cat is so unique and have such different behaviors so it’s always gonna be something different!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

While they’re not technically mine, I do take care of my roommates cats a lot for her. They’re names are Millie and Martin. They’re very opposite but both the sweetest in their own way. Millie is very outgoing (she’s a tortie) and a little crazy while Martin is on the more shy and timid side. They don’t get along very well so I try not to make either feel like they’re not getting enough attention and if they start fighting I will redirect by getting out a toy or showing some love to Millie because she’s typically the instigator and some pets will get her to chill out.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have had lots of experience with anxious kitties and in my experience it’s best to let them have their space. They’re gonna feel much more comfortable if you aren’t in their face and let them come to you. Small things like holding a treat with and open palm and small stature can help gain trust but I want them to know i’m a safe and trusted human first and foremost.

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
