Cats have always had a special place in my heart. I have four of my own and know that every cat has a unique personality—some want to play nonstop, some just want a quiet companion nearby, and some prefer to admire you from across the room! I always let cats set the pace and work to make every visit as calm and stress-free as possible.
Before veterinary school, I worked as a veterinary assistant, where I gained experience caring for healthy pets as well as seniors and cats with medical needs... Hi! I’m Taylor, a veterinary student with years of hands-on animal care experience, and I’d love to care for your cats while you’re away.
Cats have always had a special place in my heart. I have four of my own and know that every cat has a unique personality—some want to play nonstop, some just want a quiet companion nearby, and some prefer to admire you from across the room! I always let cats set the pace and work to make every visit as calm and stress-free as possible.
Before veterinary school, I worked as a veterinary assistant, where I gained experience caring for healthy pets as well as seniors and cats with medical needs. I’m comfortable giving oral medications, insulin injections, inhaler treatments (including AeroKat), eye and ear medications, and other routine care. If your cat has special needs, I’m happy to discuss their routine beforehand.
During each visit, I’ll make sure your cat has fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, plenty of attention (or respectful space!), and I’ll always keep an eye out for anything unusual. I also send detailed updates with lots of photos so you can relax knowing exactly how your cat is doing.
Whether your cat is playful, shy, elderly, or needs medication, I’ll care for them as if they were one of my own. I know how important peace of mind is when you’re away, and my goal is for you to come home to a happy, healthy kitty.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been caring for cats for years through both pet sitting and my work as a veterinary assistant, and I’m currently a veterinary student. I have four cats of my own, so caring for cats is part of my everyday life! Through pet sitting, I’ve cared for kittens, seniors, multi-cat households, and cats with medical needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, insulin injections, inhaler treatments, eye and ear medications, and I always take the time to learn each cat’s unique routine and personality before their visit.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
One of my favorite things about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s personality. Some greet me at the door, some want to play, and others take a few visits before deciding I’m trustworthy—and I love earning that trust! I enjoy making sure cats feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away, whether that means playing with a high-energy kitten, sitting quietly with a shy cat, or giving extra attention to a senior kitty. Sending updates and photos so owners know their cats are happy is one of my favorite parts of every visit.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I never force interaction. I let each cat decide how quickly they want to warm up to me and always respect their comfort level. I’ll speak softly, move slowly, and spend time nearby so they can approach when they’re ready. Many shy cats become much more comfortable after a visit or two, and I love watching their confidence grow. My goal is always to make every cat feel safe, secure, and cared for while their family is away.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
