Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite booking was about 2 weeks long with 1 hour visits each day. She was incredibly shy and didn’t enjoy any petting. Lots of growls at the new person entering her home. I started by doing all my normal duties and then sitting in the room she was in, trying to entertain her with different toys. I think it was day 5 and when I sat down she came over and sat in my lap! Her owner was thrilled and so was I. Everyday from there on we continued our routine :)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I understand the dread of having to leave your cat alone. My goal is to make it as pain free as possible with constant communication of updates so you know your loved one is being well cared for!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I think the initial meeting before a parent leaves the house is important. I like to observe the cat in their home with their people, as well as, learn what works best for your cat. I will usually take some notes to remember different things(food amount, schedule, etc), favorite toys, where they might hide. Just an overall great way to learn more about how best to care for your cat!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
