My name is Carrie, and I'm here to make one thing clear: I don't work for people... I work for cats. Humans just happen to handle the scheduling.

I believe every cat deserves to be treated like the tiny furry royalty they are. That means I never force interaction. I won't chase them, corner them, or demand cuddles. I'll quietly enter their kingdom, complete my assigned servant duties; fresh food, clean water, litter box maintenance, playtime if requested by His or Her Majesty, treats with your permission, and any medications or special care and then patiently wait to see if I've earned an audience.
Some cats want endless chin scratches. Others prefer to supervise me from atop the refrigerator like a judgmental gargoyle. Both are perfectly acceptable. I let every cat decide how our friendship unfolds because trust can't be rushed.
You'll receive plenty of updates and photos so you can see your tiny overlord is safe, happy, and still running the household in your absence.
My goal is simple: leave your cat happy, your home exactly as I found it, and hopefully earn the highest honor a cat can bestow... being allowed to exist in their presence.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love that every cat is completely different. Some are chatty, some are goofballs, some are professional nappers, and some rule the house like a little furry CEOs. Getting to learn each cat's unique personality and quirks is my favorite part of every visit.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have five of my own. Sunny is my oldest and my grouchy granny. Padmé is our elegant empath. Princess Donut lives up to her name with plenty of personality. Biggs keeps life entertaining. And our newest little resident is Liberty, a four-week-old foster kitten who was rescued during a Fourth of July fireworks show. She's so tiny, and getting all the love she needs until she's ready for her forever home.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My goal isn't to make every shy cat cuddle with me. It's to make sure they feel calm, respected, and well cared for until their favorite humans come home. I let them set the pace. I never force interaction or invade their space. Instead, I'll quietly go about taking care of their food, water, litter box, and any other needs while talking softly so they can get used to my presence. Building trust takes patience, and every cat deserves to feel safe in their own home.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Eva cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $20.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
