Hi, I'm Allie! With years of professional experience in veterinary medicine as an assistant and technician, I provide premium, specialized drop-in care tailored to feline behavior and well-being.

I know that cats are happiest in their own territory, and I tailor every visit to your cat's specific personality. Whether you have an energetic play-seeker who loves interactive wand toys, a senior cat needing strict oral medication schedules, or a shy hider who needs a quiet, slow-approach presence, I respect their boundaries while ensuring they are safe and cared for.

With my medical background, I strictly monitor subtle changes in appetite and litter box habits, and I will always send you a detailed update with photos after every visit. I look forward to giving your feline family the expert care they deserve and giving you absolute peace of mind!

Learn More About Allison

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

While I have spent years pet sitting informally and managing my own multi-cat household, my deepest experience comes from my professional background in veterinary medicine. Working as a veterinary assistant and technician, I have spent years handling feline care at an advanced level. This includes managing complex medical needs, administering oral medications, monitoring baseline health metrics, and working daily with cats of all temperaments, including highly anxious, shy, or stressed felines. Moving into dedicated cat sitting is a natural extension of that hands-on medical background. I am leveraging years of professional animal care to provide premium, low-stress drop-in visits that focus entirely on feline well-being and safety.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes, I share my home with a wonderful clowder of rescue cats, including my seniors like Loki, as well as Cleo, Gremlin, and Gozer. We also share our space with a sweet Pomeranian named Finnick! Living in a busy, dedicated multi-cat household means I am deeply familiar with complex feline dynamics, dietary rotations, and the unique quirks of different personalities. My home is a haven for rescues and fosters, which gives me daily, hands-on experience meeting the individual needs of cats at every stage of life, from playful youngsters to gentle seniors.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I use a strict "slow approach," low-stress handling philosophy when working with timid or anxious cats. I never force interaction or try to pull a hiding cat out of its comfort zone. Instead, I enter the home quietly, drop my posture to their level, avoid direct eye contact, and use "slow blinks" to signal safety. I spend the visit sitting quietly nearby, reading or managing paperwork, allowing them to get used to my scent and presence at their own pace. If they welcome it, I utilize positive reinforcement like low-stress play or high-value treats. With my veterinary background, I am highly trained to read subtle feline stress signals, ensuring I always respect their boundaries while safely confirming they are healthy, eating, and secure.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
