My name is Taylor! I have many years of both professional and volunteer experience with animals. I am Pet First Aid/CPR certified and Pet Sitter certified through PetSitterCourses.
My professional career began at Best Friends Pet Care in Walt Disney World as an Animal Care Technician. I was then cross-trained as the reservationist there. I have now been working remote as a Client Care Coordinator for a top-rated pet care company based out of Rhode Island for the past 5 years. As of recent, I am now also a freelance cat sitter myself!

Currently I have 7 beautiful rescue cats, 1 spunky rescue street-dog from Puerto Rico named Odie and 1 handsome bearded dragon named Echo. They are my pride and joy - anyone that knows me, knows me as your local animal advocate and your neighborhood cat lady!
My strongest assets include my high-level communication skills and my attention to detail. My main goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible leaving your babies in my care while sticking to their usual routine. I love sending daily messages; whether it's just a quick check in to say how everything is going or to show you some pics of your pet and I forming that special bond! Our initial meeting is very important to me, as it is the chance to go over the full routine and discuss any questions or concerns in person. I appreciate open communication on both ends so that we are all on the same page.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite part of cat sitting is forming a special bond with them. Every pet has their own personality - but all cat people know and understand that cats are unique, quirky, funny and unapologetically the ruler of the house. They certainly can be challenging at times, but there is nothing more rewarding than winning over a cat’s heart!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
Believe it or not, my very first cat client ever turned out to be favorite sitting to this day. Over time, I have had so many different experiences with many different owners, routines and circumstances. But my first client will always have a special place in my heart. The cats and owners were lovely of course - and it introduced me to what it feels like to care for an animal who needs you while their parents are away. There is truly nothing more rewarding. It was a life changing and educational experience that lead me to where I am today! I will never forget them.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I absolutely do. I have 7 currently, one is a new adoptee named Franklin. He was a neighborhood stray that I’ve been feeding for almost two years! Over time I gained his trust and he has finally made his way into my home. My other kitties are Aria, Graya, Theodore, Bowie, Lia and Scooter. I love my crew!

I cannot say enough good things about Taylor. She is my babies' bestie! Even my "shy" little moose of a cat, who hides from everyone else, comes out to hang out with Taylor. Lil dude won't even eat when I'm around, but he lets her watch him. And of course my social cat thinks Taylor is amazing. They have playtime and my cat supervises her feeding and cleanup ritual. They are happy and well-loved in my absence -- I tell her I think they like her more than me, and I don't blame them! I like her a whole lot, too!

Taylor helped me out in a pinch, and wow, she's fantastic! My Belly loves her new friend Taylor. She sent detailed updates and photos every day. And Taylor was quite concerned that my other cat Magic was being super shy. Belly looks forward to getting more visits from her new friend Taylor in the future. Taylor was absolutely amazing! this was our first time having someone other than a family friend watch our two boys and I couldn’t be more pleased. She went above and beyond, even got my super shy cat to befriend her just a couple days in! It was the first trip I’d taken that I wasn’t completely riddled with anxiety about my cats because I trusted her fully. Plus she sent TONS of pictures of my boys 😻 She will definitely be our go-to from now on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Heflin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $22.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
