What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've been cat-sitting my entire life. It started out because of work travel and to cover for cat parents who had hospital stays. I'm also an avid cat person and have several cat babies of my own.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes, my primary cat is Harry, a Russian Blue. Then there is Lulu, Grace Anne, Opie, Chloe, Mollie, and Zane. Outside, there are Mabel, Blackie, and Tangie.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Write down your routine with your cat(s) for the cat-sitter to ensure there is little or no disruption to their schedule. It's also helpful to have something to refer back to. Keep this on the refrigerator with a magnet for better visibility. Have your cat carriers handy and emergency vet information available, with a letter providing permission if you are traveling out of the country. Maybe even have a credit card on file with your local vet in case of emergency.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I am very careful how I enter and exit the premises. I take accountability photos with each visit. I also ensure all doors and windows are locked.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Generally, yes. I don't travel during Thanksgiving or Christmas, but I may take other holidays off.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I usually meet the cats prior to a reservation and let them sniff me in the presence of their owner to ensure that I am not a threat. If a cat is hiding when I stop in for feeding, I will talk to them and make them feel comfortable enough to come out on their own and let them know they are safe.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
