My name is Anna. I am a current graduate student at Northern Arizona University pursuing a career in veterinary science research. I have worked at Canyon Pet Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant and have experience in safely handling cats, emergency care, and providing medications, as needed. I have also gotten to monitor and work with both cats and kittens at the Oxford Animal Resource Center during my undergraduate, as well! I have gotten to cat sit for a lot of my personal friends and had the wonderful opportunity to bond with them overtime.
I am a cat sitter available for both overnight and drop-in visits for your cherished cats in Flagstaff. I currently keep my travel time to clients for 15 minutes or less each way, but I am willing to travel further for overnight visits! I have one very spoiled tuxedo cat named Ace. He is known to have a loner personality, but he also demands attention when he wants it, which I have come to learn and recognize! As such, my cat-sitting style is tailored to what you know your cat needs and what your cat demands me to do! I am more than happy to play, cuddle, and provide lots of time for your cat to get comfortable with me around. My goal is to not only make you feel comfortable, but to also give your cat(s) the comfort and care they deserve!
During drop-in visits, I will:
Feed your cat(s) according to your guidelines
Administrate any medications
Change/scoop out the litter box
Water any plants around the house
Play/Cuddle with your cat(s)
Pick up mail sitting outside
Provide lots of pictures, videos, and writing logs about the visit! (and your cats’ reviews about my performance!)
During overnight visits, I will:

Follow house rules
Tidy up the house before leaving

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Cat-sitting for friends for the past 5 years. I have done long-term visits when most of my friends were out of town (e.g., 2 weeks).
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I really enjoy the process of befriending cats and building trust overtime. It can become difficult if the cat is very shy or unsure about other people, but it is a very rewarding when they begin to trust you throughout multiple visits. Additionally, I appreciate that my work can help not only reduce the owners' stress of having someone watching over their cat, but it also helps the cat to avoid being in boarding kennels that can become an extremely stressful environment.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
If possible for both of our schedules, I would love to set up a meet-and-greet time to see the cat(s) first! They will be most comfortable if they are with you as I meet them for the first time. If this is not possible, no worries! We will communicate with each other how I can get to your place, what I need to do for your cat while I am there, and details about the visit. I am welcome to answer any questions and clarify anything.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
