I am mature and responsible. I've been providing care to families (as a trusted babysitter) for the past several years after retiring from AT&T where I worked for nearly 40 years.
I live in the Gilbert area, but have a car and can travel as needed.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
My daughters both have cats and I have been their primary cat sitter for about 20 years whenever they went out of town.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite part of cat sitting is calling out to the kitty when I come in. I feel that it sets the tone for a fun and friendly visit.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have two kitties: Franklyn, who is 15 years old and Grayson who is 7 years old. I've had them both since they were kittens.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
If I sense the cat is timid or anxious, I speak to them in a very low, soft voice. I talk to them throughout the visit, making sure to use their name often so they know I am there for them. I extend my hand to let them become familiar with me before attempting to pet them. I take my cues from the cat itself to determine how and if the cat even wants to engage with me.

Donna is a great human and an absolutely fantastic cat sitter. We took a 2 week vacation and have never left our kitty this long. She now requires medication every night & is a little shy, so it was certainly nerve wracking. Donna was great about working out visits before we left so I could get my cat more used to her. During our trip, Donna sent photo updates every visit, administered meds & sent confirmation, & even got our sassy lady to warm up to her a bit. Our house is just as we left it, our kitty was well cared for & happy to have us back home -- couldn't be happier with our experience & will certainly be requesting Donna's services the next time we're away!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Gilbert cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
