I'm the loving pawrent of 10 cats ranging from 5-18 years of age. I foster cats/kittens for a local rescue, and volunteer in their medical clinic for surgery or vaccines. All of this has not only given me experience with medical issues, but with engaging with all types of cats, from very shy to very sweet to very active and those that require more care medically. I've been catsitting for 4 years for a range of different clients.

I will meet with you professionally and learn about your cat(s). I ask questions and keep communication open for the different needs of my clients and cats.

I hope to be your sitter!!

Learn More About Ali

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've been sitting professionally for about 4 years. I have 3 personal clients, and multiple with a different petsitting agency (maybe 20 different clients). Having done this for a while and between 2 different platforms has allowed me to meet all different cats and situations.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting new cats and making friends with them. I enjoy playing with my cat friends and making sure that they are well taken care of.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 10 cats at home. From oldest to youngest they are Nightmare (18), Peanut (15), Five (14), Gray (14), Oreo (14), Bastet (13), Jupiter (9), Geneva (8), Squeak (7), and Hank (5).

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I always recommend a meet and greet type session so that I can learn about the client and their cat(s). While there, I go over daily routine and what is expected from me and for the cats. This also gives the both of us to ask questions and learn a bit about eachother.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I always allow the cats to come out to me. I will usually sit by wherever they are hiding and either read to them from my book, or make a story up for them so that they become used to my voice. If they are treat motivated then I'll use those to help them become less anxious. I allow the cat to get used to me and not force the visit. It is a little different for a cat who requires medication, but I'll utilize treats as appropriate to help show them that I'm not the 'bad guy'.

This month

Ali was incredibly thorough with asking questions during the meet and greet, which helped me be confident that she would do a great job looking after my kitties. She was very communicative on the days I was out of town and she sent pictures every day. Would definitely request to hire again :)

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Phoenix cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
