What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been doing cat sitting for 4 years mainly through my neighbors, coworkers, or friends and family. I know how to interpret cat behaviour and how to handle each cats personal needs.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two kitties myself. I have a 2 year old Calico that I rescued from a coworker’s barn when she was 6 weeks old. Her name is Patches and is very adventurous. She loves the outdoors and knows how to walk with a harness and leash. My older cat is a long-haired Siamese and I got her when she was 2 years old through an adoption shelter. She is particularly attached to me and will wail if she’s not around me. Her name is Moon and she is 6 years old.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Ensuring the safety and security of both the cats and the home is my top priority. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, litter box maintenance, and any special care needs. I always check that doors and windows are secure, keep hazardous items out of reach, and monitor the cat’s behavior for any signs of distress or illness. If any issues arise, I communicate promptly with the owner. Additionally, I respect the home by keeping it clean and tidy, ensuring the cat’s environment remains safe and comfortable.

Maya was quick to respond and set up the meet and greet, seemed clear on what was needed, and even offered to take care of plants and other things if needed. She coaxed our shy cat out from under the bed and spent some quality time with him before leaving and sent us photos and a behavior/food and water check-in. Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
