I have been a nurse for 20 years and recently retired from traditional healthcare setting to open up a clinical apothecary and spend my time giving love and care in a more holistic way to those that find me. I am calm and patient when meeting new pets, I have had animals my whole adult life and have taken care of them clinically as well as. I can give ointments, oral meds, eye/teardrops, and am comfortable with injections... Hi! I'm Amina and I am a registered nurse and cat sitter so if you're looking to go on vacation, need some backup with your furbaby, or whatever the case may be, I can help!

I can give ointments, oral meds, eye/teardrops, and am comfortable with injections. I have experience caring for Serval cats, larger exotic breeds, and a variety of different types of cats. I am happy to help keep the house tidy, bring in the mail, taking out the trash, and make sure everything is as you left it when you get back.
I am able to exceed the clients expectations, and I put my whole heart into my work. I am available for drop ins but no overnights at this time and I am able to work all over the Tucson area.
I am comfortable wearing a mask if that is required within the home.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have had cats my whole adult life and I have been sitting for cats for many years. I have taken my mom's cat out of state for medical care, given medications for cats, and spent hours caring for cats in my home health profession.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Getting to meet other people's furbabies and spend time with them. Giving respite and support to the owners and supporting the cats in their familiar spaces.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
Transporting my mom's cat to NM and getting to spend time with him and make sure he was cared for appropriately and safely.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have had cats for most of my adult life up until recently when my last one passed away. His name was Baxter and the other was Babygirl.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I am patient, inquisitive, a quick learner, and adaptable. I ask lots of questions to make sure that I am creating the most peaceful and familiar environment for everyone.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I ensure that I follow the owners letters to a tee and make sure to be aware of the environment at all times and to remain vigilant to the needs of the client.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am typically available during the holidays, especially if it is reserved a month in advance, that makes it easier for me to schedule and make changes if necessary to compliment the client's needs.
What is your favorite cat toy?
The wand toy with the stick and string with the toy attached to end that the cat can chase around because we can interact together
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I am patient and flexible and adaptable. I make sure that these babies have the most patience and love and familiarity to create a comfortable environment for them.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Tucson cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
