I have experience with all breed types, ages, energy levels and ... I love cats more than people! Been petsitting for over 20 years, even had my own business for awhile in Portland. I consider it a true honor to help kitty parents to ensure their furry friends feel safe, happy and loved while they are away.
I have experience with all breed types, ages, energy levels and personalities. Listening and letting them come to me is my superpower. I'm comfortable administering medication or adapting to any special needs your little muffin might have. I can stay overnight in the home with them or just drop by for as many visits as you feel good about. I can't wait to meet them!!!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cats are magical creatures and I consider myself fluent in their behaviors. Each one is so unique and I truly enjoy getting to know what makes them happy, engaged and loved.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
This is up to the parent! Always happy to do a meet and greet so you can show me all the things and introduce us. Some cat parents are comfortable just leaving instructions (the more the better) and this is ok too. I feel confident I can do a thorough and thoughtful job in any situation.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will always meet kitties where they are at. If they need space and time to get used to me I will respect that by not approaching too quickly or even hanging around the area that they consider their safe space. Quietly existing in a next room and offering food, treats and toys will be waiting for them when they are ready. I look for body language and energy signals. Cats always tell me what they need!

My cat’s usually so mad at me when I get home from a trip, but this time she was surprisingly calm! Kelly was great, sent tons of updates, always responded fast, and left the place clean. They gave my cat lots of attention and made sure she felt comfortable and well cared for. It made the trip way less stressful knowing she was in good hands. I’ll definitely be booking Kelly again!

She is a great communicator and sends me photos of my babies when she’s at the house, which is a great personal touch 🥰 She is responsible, always shows up on time, and really goes above and beyond to make sure my animals are taken care of. I’ve even called her in a pinch before and if she’s available she is always happy to help! She is truly a gem, 10/10!!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Berkeley cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $40.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
