Cat Sitting in Beverly Hills, CA

Hello, I'm Anne! I"m a Beverly Hills resident of 30 years, who absolutely loves kitties! I'm so pleased that you are visiting me on Meowtel, and would be honored to meet you and your kitties! I've had at least two cats in my house for the last 25 years; they are my warm, furry, children, and I simply cannot imagine being without them. I currently have a 2 year old black ball of fire named Georgie, and a lovely 2 year old tortoiseshell named Audrey.

**I stepped away from cat sitting for a time, and am back and ready to meet you! I am very experienced,--please read my reviews. I haven't changed!

I work with feline medical issues frequently, and am quite capable of providing Sub-Q fluid therapy, insulin delivery, and various injections, supplements, and vitamins as well. I am also familiar with Chemotherapy drugs--I'm used to the plastic glove routine for medicine and litter box maintenance---it's no trouble.

I've been involved with the rescue community for many years, and done TNR work, once sitting...

I've been involved with the rescue community for many years, and done TNR work, once sitting up all night with my best friend and a pot of coffee, working to coax 5 semi-feral kittens into a trap so they could be socialized and find good homes...we were successful! I loved working at a No Kill Shelter in the Cat Room, just sitting and socializing the cats, giving them lots of pets, cuddles, and love. As my vet once said, "There's nothing like a warm Pudder Tat".

I do my one-a-day visits in the morning and two-a-day visits morning and evening. On weekends i can also do mid-day, but not on weekdays. This seems to work great for my clients. I live in West Los Angeles, and generally serve the following areas:

-Miracle Mile/Mid-Wilshire
-Beverlywood
-Pico-Robertson
-Carthay Circle
-Beverly Hills and Bel Aire
-West Hollywood

**Please note that if there are more than 2 medications or procedures to be administered, I do require a 45 minute booking, so that we’re calm and have time and patience. This also pertains to bookings involving 3 or more kitties.

My visits always include:
-Feeding and a thorough litter box cleaning.
-Playtime and lots of petting and snuggling.
-Watering of plants if desired, bringing in the mail, and taking out the trash before your return. I will keep food prep and feeding areas clean and tidy.
-Updates at every visit, with photos and videos :)

I love being a cat sitter! I will take care of your furry babies just as if they were my own. You'll get pictures and videos while you are away; I know how hard it is to be separated from your child! Have a great trip!

Learn More About Anne

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've been cat sitting since 2019, and love it.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Sitting quietly with a kitty for a good petting session, or playing with the energetic types! It''s nice to just relax with a warm pudder tat. I love being helpful, allowing my kitty parents the opportunity to go away without worrying about their babies!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

Oh gosh that's hard. One of my clients had two kittens who were very active. She was getting ready to move, so there were boxes stacked in the living room. We had a great time playing with a laser pointer, scaling Mount Boxes! All the way to the top, and flying back down!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I've had a total of seven cats, all rescues. I currently have Georgie and Audrey.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Always do a meet and greet, to see if it's a fit. Write out exactly what you want the sitter to do. Morning and evening feeding specifics, water, play, and anything they love or don't like. No amount of information is too much! Tell your cat sitter what time zone you will be in, so that we know when you will respond to texts, phone calls, etc. Kitties often require time to trust a new person, so if your baby hides for awhile, don't worry. With a good sitter, they'll eventually warm up. Always leave vet info for your sitter, just in case.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Set a time for a meet and greet. Meet the kitty! I say hello to the parent, and then I want to meet the baby! I bend down, or even sit down, so the cat can smell me, get close to me, etc. If they're hiding and we know where they are, I'll just lean down and say hello. Get all of the specifics of the cat's care. (See above) Get the time zone of the parents' travel. Make sure the keys work! Make sure there's vet information available, and a carrier. If the kitty needs meds, I also require that they call the vet and approve me bringing the kitty in for treatment just in case. Verify the dates that they will be gone and what day they are actually coming home.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Kitty stays indoors! Even if the cat "sometimes" goes outside, I don't sit with a cat who is going to be outside on my watch. They're in, while the parents are away. For the shy ones, I always make sure I find them and that they're okay, even if they don't want to come out. Watch for vomit, excessive hairballs, diarrhea (I know, gross) or eating trouble. (not eating) Watch their body language. They'll tell the cat sitter whether they want pets or not!

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, for the most part

What is your favorite cat toy?

Laser toy and feather bird wand

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Sit with them. Not too close, but where they can see me. I talk to them softly, and leave them be. As long as they know someone is coming every day, they will be less anxious. Eventually, given time, they will begin to trust me, and come a little closer, then want to be petted. It takes time, but rushing things makes it worse. I'm very patient. Kitties are naturally nervous with a new person in their home, and their family away. I let them do what they're comfortable with, and usually they come around. I've had cats whose owners have said they don't like to be petted by strangers and may get aggressive. I follow the parents' lead, and don't try to pet the cat!

Anne was a godsend for our recently diagnosed stage 4 kidney kitty 🐱who’s on medications twice a day and SubQs. I was dreading this trip for a family wedding knowing we had to leave our sick kitty at home while in the middle of us also, still ourselves, figuring out her new medication protocol. Anne came in with calm, loving experience gave us detailed video updates multiple times a day and even showed me some new tricks to get her to eat and take her medications. In the time we were gone her appetite and health actually improved from when I was doing it. It’s incredibly emotional and stressful having a sick pet at home and Anne gets it. Nothing was TMI or too much to ask. Anne will definitely be our go-to for any future travel and highly recommend her as THE cat lady you want looking after your fur babies. 🫶

Anne took excellent care of my cat while I was away for a couple of weeks. She was reliable, attentive, kept everything clean, watered my plants, and spent real quality time with him so he was happy and comfortable. The daily videos and updates gave me complete peace of mind and made it easy to see he was in great hands. Anne is thoughtful, responsible, and clearly cares about the animals she looks after. I would absolutely recommend her and would trust her again without hesitation.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Beverly Hills cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
