What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting for about 2-3 years now, mostly for an adult dieabtic cat. Others, also adults needing special needs like medications or diet. I will usually visit them and follow instructions provided by the pet parent. Usually a meal, medicine, playtime, brushing, treats, and litter cleaning. In general making sure they’re cared for and get enough attention while their pet parent is away. Always keeping parents apprised with regular updates.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I really enjoy getting to know other cat’s quirks and behaviors. Are they simply photogenic and happy to just let you bask in their presence or would they just enjoy a good brushing? These are lovable traits I like to uncover and master. 😸

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I currently have a cat named Cream Puff. She is a true handful wanting all of your attention and more. She’s a Persian-doll face breed (mixed breed) and incredibly sociable!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I would first get to know you, the cat parent and what your care plan is for your beloved furbaby while you're away. I generally ask for a written care plan if possible, that way no detail goes amiss! On first bookings I'll provide extra details and photos to give you peace of mind that your furbaby is well cared for. 1) Meet & Greet 2) Booking confirmation 3) Care plan followed + updates with photos 4) Receive feedback for improving further visits

It took a little time for me to figure out the Meowtel website and how to use their system. once I booked a cat sitter, had the first meeting in-person, I felt comfortable with the system. Tasha was the sitter I chose, and who was available for my dates. She was friendly & professional and asked great questions. While away, I was sent messages with photos and updates of how she was doing and how my cat was doing. It all went very well and I was pleased with the service.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
