As for taking care of cats... Hi amazing cat parents! ₍^. ̫.^₎⟆ I have had experience with pet sitting animals my whole life I started around the age of 5 years when I had to take care of my dad’s friend cat who needed to stay with us for a week. I remember my brother of 8 years being afraid of her but I immediately connected with Emma the cat and since then I knew that I had deeply loved animals of all kinds and sizes; dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, you name it!
As for taking care of cats specifically I absolutely adore them, from the way they walk to their silly moments like those bunny kicks, never get tired of learning more about them or seeing them in this case. Every cat is different and I want to be able to see every unique personality they each have and it brings me so much joy to be able to take care of them when their lovely parents are away from home and I can make sure to give them exactly what they require to the last detail. I am super loving, very reliable, and extremely excited to meet your fur baby! I’ll be their guardian angel when you’re away so that you will always have a peace of mind that they are in good hands. 🐈💞

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve loved caring for cats since I was a kid I once took care of a street cat with a missing eye socket and had no place to call home. I always made sure he had food and company from me, one of my biggest regrets is not taking him into my home but I wasn't allowed to. Now, I’m caring for my own kitten and gaining more hands-on experience every day. 💞
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
In short, I just love being around any cat it makes my whole day if I had a previous bad mood or a current headache or even a bellyache, being surrounded by kitties is my natural antidote I feel immediately relieved and at peace. Another important reason would be that there are too many people with negative intentions in this world and I am so happy that I can be a person that provides safety, comfort, reliability, security and love for people’s fur babies it’s one of the things that is extremely meaningful to me! 💛
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I adopted my first tux kitten last June who just turned a year old in March and her name is Velvet Lunelle she is my baby and I love her with my whole being! A little fun fact about her is that we have a matching beauty mark at the top of our left lip which is so so special to me. My angel bebe! 😇
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
For timid or anxious cats, I go slowly and let them set the pace. I approach calmly, speak softly, and let them sniff my hand before trying to touch them. I respect their space, avoid forcing interaction, and use gentle encouragement with toys or treats if appropriate. My goal is to build trust gradually so they feel safe and comfortable during my visit.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chula Vista cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Elizabeth was amazing with my cat Destiny. She provided daily updates and videos of Destiny while I was away. She fed and played with Destiny and kept her busy while she was there. When I returned home Destiny was calm and very happy to see me and you could tell by her calmness and demeanor that she was very happy that Elizabeth was there while I was away. In my experience no one has come close to taking care of my cat baby Mo like Elizabeth. She has been my long time friend and colleague of mine and I’m not just saying that because we’ve been friends for so long I would call her out or anyone for that matter if I thought otherwise.
