I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. After graduating college, I knew I wanted pets of my own-so I started fostering kittens, which felt like the perfect first step. I absolutely loved it and ended up fostering 15–20 kittens over three years, successfully helping each one find their forever home. (I may have had a tiny foster fail and adopted two of them myself! 😽)
More recently, I’ve taken a step back from fostering to volunteer every weekend at Stray Cat Alliance, a local cat rescue. There, I help feed, clean, and socialize elder, feral, sick, and disabled cats. I love getting to know each of them-their unique personalities, quirks, and needs. It’s incredibly rewarding to earn their trust and see them open up and become playful and affectionate. 🥰

Volunteering and fostering have inspired me to help more animals and make more connections, so I want to expand my sitting clientele and help other cat parents feel at ease when they’re away from their furr kiddo’s! I know it can be nerve wracking to leave for days, so I always make sure to send tons of updates, pictures, videos and ensure your babies feel loved and cared for during each visit.😊
✅AVAILABILITY:
I currently work hybrid as a graphic designer, so my times are flexible (morning, noon, nighttime or weekends all work).
PLEASE NOTE: If you have more than two cats or if medications are required, it is recommended to reserve at least a 45 min visit.
✅SERVICES:
- I’m comfortable administering meds, putting on eyedrops, topical treatments, trimming nails, cleaning up messes, and socializing if your baby needs some play time/lots of cuddles!
-Other light housekeeping includes: watering houseplants, bringing in mail, taking out trash, and keeping the feeding/litter area spotless.
✅COVID SAFTEY:
In terms of Covid safety, I’m fully vaccinated and boosted. More than happy to wear a mask during the visits and follow any protocols you’d prefer!

I have been cat sitting with Meowtel for 1.5 years now. I also fostered and volunteered at cat shelters prior for 4-5 years, so have a pretty hands on experience working with cats 🐱

🌸 Handled an Emergency with Love and Grace Debby is an absolute gem! On her last day visiting my cat, Baboo, she handled a carbon monoxide alarm going off with such calm and care. Baboo was scared and hiding, but Debby kept me updated every step of the way and even offered to take him home to keep him safe. Thankfully, it was a false alarm — but knowing she was there, steady and compassionate, meant the world. She’s loving, trustworthy, and truly goes above and beyond. Baboo and I are so grateful for her! 💕

Our second time having Debby look after our kitties, and for a longer stretch (8 days). She is so awesome with our cats! We booked her for a mix of 20min and 45min visits twice a day and she was on point each time despite the varied schedule. Updates with pics and videos were sent each time which was very reassuring for us being nervous cat guardians. It was so nice that our cats remembered her from the last cat sitting several months ago. She clearly left a positive impression on them!

This was our first time hiring a cat sitter so we were quite nervous, but Debby was very understanding and accommodating with us. She kept in great communication from start to finish, sending photos and videos of our kitties with each visit. This was reassuring and allowed us to enjoy our trip. But more than anything, she was GREAT with our cats and gave them plenty of playtime in addition to feeding and litter box cleaning. We are very grateful to have found her on Meowtel, and hope she's available for our next trip! Highly recommend!!

This is the 1st time we have used Debby while we were away on a family vacation. Debby was by far the best cat sitter we have ever had! We have four cats, each with its own ‘persnickety’ diet and food favorites… and the youngest cat is very shy. Debby took the time to get close to all four cats and prepare exactly what they each love eating. Debby spent time every day playing with all four cats, taking pics and videos, and texting them to us. The cats loved seeing Debby every day and Debby gave them the same love she would give to her own cats. We look forward to Debby take care of our babies every time we go away in the future. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Hawthorne cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $35.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!

This is the 2nd time we used Debby as she has been fabulous both times! We have two black cats that are siblings, Nova and Jinx. Nova is very shy while Jinx is more outgoing and it shows when Debby comes over from the pictures she sends us. She is always there at the times we ask her to be, takes care of the food, litter boxes and gives the cats some playtime if they are being outgoing. We would definitely recommend Debby to any of our cat loving friends!

Debby helped us over the last 2 weeks with companionship and medication administration for our shy old man. She was the perfect fit for him! Quiet, but persistent and followed all directions with great updates on every visit! We just moved to the area and had to find a new cat sitter after the same one for 3+ years, which was scary! We love Debby! She took the best care of our boy Benji while we were away with lots of love and consistency. Sitters in the past have not arrived at the times they said they would, which is important to us as we also leave some food out for Benji on a timed feeder. But Debby was reliable, communicative, and awesome. She also sent us the most photogenic photos of him everyday!
