What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have over 15 years of extensive, hands-on experience caring for cats at every stage of life. While I am new to the Meowtel platform, my background includes: • Lifetime Personal Care: I have owned and cared for cats my entire life, including raising a senior cat who lived to the age of 22, which gave me deep experience in senior feline care, administering specialized routines, and monitoring subtle health changes. • Fostering & Neonatal Care: I am an experienced cat foster. I have successfully managed and cared for pregnant momma cats and raised entire litters of kittens, meaning I am highly skilled in socialization, bottle-feeding, and the strict hygiene protocols required for fragile felines. • Multi-Pet Management: I currently manage a busy, harmonious household in La Quinta with two cats and two dogs, so I am incredibly well-versed in maintaining strict feeding schedules, safety routines, and reading animal body language.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is earning a cat’s trust and figuring out their unique personality. Unlike dogs, who often give their affection immediately, cats require you to listen to them, respect their boundaries, and speak their language. There is nothing more rewarding than when a shy or hesitant cat decides to come out of hiding, initiates a head-butt, or curls up next to me because they realize they are safe. I also love that every cat is entirely different—I genuinely enjoy everything from the high-energy chaos of a kitten playing with a feather wand to the quiet, sweet companionship of a senior cat who just wants a calm presence nearby. Providing that peace of mind to owners while they are away, knowing their beloved felines are happy and thriving in their own home, is incredibly fulfilling to me.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite experience was fostering a heavily pregnant momma cat who arrived terrified, shut down, and completely defensive. Instead of pushing her boundaries, I spent days sitting quietly in her room, letting her get used to my voice and presence at her own pace. The breakthrough was unforgettable, when she went into labor, she completely trusted me to be by her side, letting me comfort her as she delivered a healthy litter of kittens. Watching her transform from a fearful stray into a confident mother who trusted me with her newborns was incredibly rewarding. It perfectly illustrated why I love this work, that with patience and respect for feline boundaries, you can win over even the most guarded cat.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! My fur babies names are Daphne and Roz because our favorite TV show is Frasier and we are from Seattle!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
