Every kitty has a special place in my heart, even after one encounter. I understand that cats can be particular about their environments and feeding schedule, therefore it is my ultimate passion to make sure they feel like their routine is not disrupted while I look after them. During our meet & greet, I will ask for all their favorite hiding places, toys, quirks, and location of their food, treats, and litter.
For the kitties that are shy and/or over-protective I always give them space to become comfortable with me. Sometimes, if they allow, I sit near them so they can take in my scent and offer treats so they know I am a friend. 🐱❤️
My services don't stop at taking care of your cat. I make sure all packages & mail are safely brought into your home, trash is taken out at the end of the booking, play time is offered, daily updates with photoshoots, cat litter is refreshed (when needed and/or requested), cat litter area is cleaned & organized, and - if allowed - cuddle sessions with your fur baby are given 🤗.
For overnight visits, I treat your home like my own. I’m very organized and clean. I make sure at the end of my visits all towels, bedsheets, and dishes are washed and put away. I also make sure the floors, bathroom and other areas are clean. I like to ensure your home feels cozy after your travels.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been a cat sitter for about 10 years while also working as a Veterinary Technician. While I no longer work as a Veterinary Technician, I still offer cat sitting services as I truly enjoy taking care of animals.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Being able to to see each cat's personality come out as the reservation continues. I love spending time with each kitty, since I don't have one of my own at the moment. It gives me that cute pet time we all need in our lives.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Be patient and trust your intuition when it comes to choosing a cat sitter for your beloved pet. If you have to go through several meet-and-greets to find the sitter you're comfortable with, that's perfectly okay. AND don't be afraid to ask all the questions that come to mind :)
Are you usually available during holidays?
Sometimes. For major holidays like Thanksgiving and/or Christmas I may travel back home. You can always send me a private message to confirm. But I am available all summer with minimal time restrictions.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I give them their own space but still do my best to make sure they know I'm friendly and mean no harm. I'll let them sniff me when they're ready and spend some time with them in the same room without the pressure to come out (if they're hiding). I'll also have treats on hand, but again no pressure for them to explore.

Denise was absolutely exceptional as our cat sitter. We’ve worked with her previously for drop-in visits, but this was our first time having her stay overnight, and it made a tremendous difference in our peace of mind while we were away. One of our cats, Colby, has chronic kidney disease and requires a very specific care routine, including subcutaneous fluids, medication, and a specialized diet. Denise handled all of this with confidence and expertise, clearly drawing from her veterinary/med tech background. She was also extremely thoughtful in managing the different dietary needs of both of our cats, ensuring everything was done correctly and consistently. Our other cat can be a bit more particular with new people, but Denise was incredibly patient, intuitive, and respectful of his personality—something we truly appreciated. It’s clear she has a natural ability to read and connect with animals. Throughout the stay, Denise provided excellent communication and updates, which gave us a lot of reassurance. We also came home to a spotless house and two very happy, well-cared-for cats. We trust Denise completely in our home and with our pets, and we will absolutely continue working with her. We’re so grateful to have found her.

Our almost 16-year-old cat, Colby, has chronic kidney disease and requires subcutaneous fluids, a specialized diet, and extra attention. Denise handled his care with confidence and compassion, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. Our other cat, Jon, is extremely particular and does not warm up easily to new people. Despite this, Denise was patient and thoughtful in how she approached him, respecting his boundaries while still ensuring he was properly cared for—even when he was being a bit challenging around mealtime. Beyond their care, Denise was incredibly communicative. She sent us regular updates, including sweet videos and thoughtful messages, which made being away from them much easier. She also kept our home very clean and was always easy to coordinate with. It’s rare to find someone who can handle both medical needs and complex pet personalities with this level of professionalism and care. I would highly recommend Denise to anyone—especially those with pets who require extra attention.

Denise saved the day when my previous sitter canceled because of new urinary issues for one of my cats. She was quick to respond and easy to work with to figure out timing and align on the sit. She showed up to promptly to the meet and sitting appointments and followed all of the detailed instructions I gave around food and medication. She gave me frequent, charming updates and pictures, and I could tell from her updates that she really cared about my cats and my cats really enjoyed her company. Jerry even sat on her lap which is special. When I came home my home was in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend Denise and work with her again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Los Angeles cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $34.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Judy warmed up to Denise so quickly, and Denise was able to administer her medications that first day, which I had been most concerned about prior to the overnight. She was super communicative and was careful to double check dosage and other important details.
