I've often been described as a chill and low-key person, both of which I think are attributes that cats naturally gravitate towards... Hullo! I'm Kevin, and I've been a cat lover since I was a kid. I always grew up with a mixture of cats, dogs and other furry friends in the house, but unfortunately haven't been able to have one of my own for a while now due to my incredibly allergic roommate. I have, however, proudly been a go-to cat and dog sitter for my friends for over a decade now.
I've often been described as a chill and low-key person, both of which I think are attributes that cats naturally gravitate towards. But I'm also fairly tall and lanky, so there's a chance they just mistake me for a moving scratching post.
I understand that every cat is different and likes things to be done in their own way, on their own terms. I'm happy to accommodate all of your cat's particularities to ensure all their needs are met, whether it's getting fed in that very specific way that they like, receiving medicine, getting ample playtime, or just being given personal space. My goal is always to make sure your cat feels a sense of security, stability, and peacefulness in the absence of their owner. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to learn the personalities and weird little quirks of every cat I meet, from the cuddlebugs, to the hyped-up acrobats, to the royalty-in-their-own-minds, to the little derps and every cat in between.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
We'll always start with an initial meet and greet so we can see if I'm a good match for your cat, and that's as much for you as the cat parent as it is for the cat. If we feel like it is, we can run through expectations for your cat's needs (feeding schedule, playtime, any other responsibilities), as well as discuss best methods for communication, emergency contacts, how often you like updates while you're travelling, all that good stuff.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always try to let a cat come to me in their own time and never force an interaction, whether the cat is shy or not. I understand some cats prefer the safety of hiding under beds and rarely come out though, so in those instances I will offer them treats in a calm or quiet voice, or will try to encourage them out by creating a safe environment, like leaving a favorite toy of theirs close by to coax them out, or by giving them plenty of personal space and a quiet atmosphere so they feel comfortable moving around the space freely if they so desire. At the end of the day, I'll always ensure they have access to the food and water they need when they want it, and keep track of their eating habits.

Kevin took excellent care of Olive while we were out of town for 4 days! During the meet and greet, she immediately sniffed Kevin and was comfortable letting him pet her, which isn't always the case! She can be a bit aloof and hesitant with new people so we knew she would be in good hands. While we were away, Kevin went the extra mile, cleaning up messes and responding to our questions. His daily updates gave us peace of mind. We'll definitely rebook when we need a catsitter again!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Los Angeles cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
