I was nervous about leaving my 14 year old momma’s boy home alone with a sitter for the first time. I am beyond grateful that i found Melanie to watch him! I felt like she really payed attention to him and his needs and gave me amazing updates and advice that made it a relief to leave him in the hands of someone who actually cared about him. If I ever have to leave him alone again, I won’t have to worry about where to look!

Melanie was great! She was extremely patient with my grumpy senior kitty and gave her the space she needed to feel comfortable with a new person.

We have a sick cat who needed multiple daily medications and Melanie had no difficulty giving them, which is a miracle in and of itself. It was a huge relief during our vacation to know that our babies were so well cared for.

I have a lot of anxiety about leaving my cats behind, especially since my older one has both diabetes and kidney disease. But Melanie was the most reassuring and capable sitter I could have asked for, a total pro at giving them their meds, and sent me detailed updates each time she visited them. She has a great rapport with cats (and worried cat parents--she's a lovely person in general!). My cat sitter Melanie was FANTASTIC. Before my cat and her met Miss Pinky was going through it being in and out of hospitals. She was be able to implement medicine routines and able to come with creative ways of getting her to eat more during her discovery with treats provided by me. Miss pinky is an extremely skittish cat and she allowed Melanie to pet her! Omg! I was so happy as I was away on my business trip to receive that Video from her! A++++++++++ Highly recommended! Melanie was amazing with our cat Hiro! Hiro is definitely a sassy guy, but Melanie was great at finding ways to keep him occupied and had the cutest and most thorough updates. I usually get very nervous before leaving for a vacation, but Melanie took very good care of my boys (7yr brothers) while I was away and sending updates with many photos on time so that I fully enjoyed my vacation without worrying about them. Our cat, Leo, has a number of health problems that require monitoring and daily medication. I was very nervous to leave him for the weekend, but after our meet and greet with Melanie, I felt significantly more at ease. Leo warmed up to Melanie right away, and she took detailed notes. She had no issues with administering his medication, and gave us thorough updates after each visit. Most importantly, I was so appreciative of her flexibility. Our flight was significantly delayed coming home, and I wasn't sure if we were going to make it home that night. She was so understanding and accommodating. She opened up her busy schedule and was able to squeeze in another visit. We came home to a very happy cat!

My reservation with Melanie was non-traditional, but completely met my needs. My cat needed some new medication 3x/week that had to be delivered subcutaneously. I searched for a Meowtel sitter near me with subcutaneous fluid administration skills and Melanie fit the bill! Basically I was looking for guidance from someone really familiar and well-practiced with subcutaneous fluid administration. She and I talked over an hour, she came with a whole list of tips, tricks, and suggestions, and recommended and book and a certain type of treat. It was so helpful and the fluid administration has gotten easier with each time I've done it since our chat. Thank you Melanie!

Melanie is exceptional! She cared for my two babies over a week and administered their medications daily which is not an easy task. She stayed on top of cleaning box, cat bowls, trash, and cleaned pukes from floors and carpets. She was patient and spent the time to make sure they got their meds and felt comfortable with her. What kept me sane being away for so long were her daily texts that included detailed notes, photos and videos. Melanie is an angel for our 3 fur babies Melanie looked after our 3 babies so well for the week we were away. After relying on friends for years, (where you were never really sure how often they dropped in or how well they were able to follow instructions), this was our first worry free vacation in years. Melanie was great with my cats! I was nervous about leaving them for a week after nearly a year of working from home, but they were chill and happy when I got home whereas they can normally be quite anxious and destructive if I leave. I have a hyperactive kitten and a much older cat with complicated food and water instructions (rejects anything except fresh water, sensitive stomach, etc.), but they seemed great and relaxed when I got home. The kitten even came out of hiding to play. Melanie sent daily updates and also suggest some food to try that would help my sensitive stomach senior cat.

She also does unexpected extras - she asked where the broom lived, so she could sweep the litter while I was gone (big kudos for that). Melanie was absolutely fantastic! I have a very sick kitty who requires a LOT of attention (and some of it is... not pretty)--it makes it anxiety-inducing for us whenever we have to leave him. However, I knew I had found my go-to sitter when my super-skittish kitty Binx let her pet him on the first visit (he generally takes 3-4 days to warm up to people). Melanie is a miracle worker! Our cat Fiona has not shown her face to a human besides me and my fiancé in TWO YEARS. We’ve respected her space, but also tried to encourage her to feel safe while others are around, but she hides the whole time. Until.... MELANIE worked her magic! One of my two kitties was on three different types of medication at the time, and I felt completely at ease leaving them in her capable hands. Melanie provided excellent care and detailed updates, and we returned home to two happy kitties. Would highly recommend!
