A few years ago, Pigeon and her late brother Frederick road-tripped with us all the way from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles. They loved every minute, just looking out the window like seasoned travelers. Frederick was my heart, and losing him was devastating... Hi, I’m Lennon! I’m a lifelong cat lover and proud parent to two wonderful cats; Pigeon, my precious girl sweet and pure of heart, and Figment, my relentless little shadow who requires sitting in my lap at all times.
A few years ago, Pigeon and her late brother Frederick road-tripped with us all the way from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles. They loved every minute, just looking out the window like seasoned travelers. Frederick was my heart, and losing him was devastating. But watching Pigeon and our new boy Figment find each other, and watching Figment immediately claim his spot on top of both of us, has been one of the sweetest things I’ve ever witnessed.
That kind of bond is exactly why I take cat care so seriously. I’ve looked after cats for friends and family over the years, and I always bring the same love and attention I give my own. I’m a firm believer in humane, compassionate care — I’m strongly anti-declawing and believe every cat deserves to be treated with patience and respect.

Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! My husband and I don’t typically travel during the holidays, so that’s actually one of the times I’m most likely to be available. I’m happy to keep your cat company while you’re away enjoying the season.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My cat Pigeon has strong opinions about this. Her favorites are a fish-shaped kick toy we picked up in Japan and a classic feather on a stick. Every so often, she’ll start meowing from the other room and then she comes prancing in dragging one of these huge toys, meowing the whole way, just incredibly pleased with herself. It never gets old.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always remind myself that I’m a stranger walking into their home. It’s their space, and I’m the guest. If a cat wants to hide or keep their distance at first, I completely respect that. I don’t push or hover. Sometimes the best thing I can do is just be calm and present, let them observe me, and give them the time they need. I’ve never met a cat I didn’t eventually win over, and I’m happy to be patient for as long as that takes. We’ll get there.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Los Angeles cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
