I remember the first shelter I volunteered at was the Baypath Humane Society. You had to be 16 to volunteer there, but I convinced them to let me volunteer at 12. I was only allowed to walk the small dogs, so I spent most of my time with the cats. I learned how to bathe them, give them shots, deworm them, and all about their care. There was a cat named Scrabble and he was super shy and wouldn't let anyone near him. He didn't eat when he first arrived at the shelter, and everyone really thought he wasn't going to make it. I showed up every day for that amazing kitty. Once he trusted me, I sat inside his cage with him, and I hand fed him. He was at the shelter for months; he was so shy for so long, so nobody wanted him. Eventually, however, he started to open up and found a great home. It was one of the coolest experiences of my entire life... I love all animals! Especially Cats!

Every cat deserves love and attention. Some cats prefer their love in the form of a lack of attention, and that's ok too.
I have bought a home for all 8 of my kitties, my dog, and my chameleon in Marysville. I hope to meet and hang out with all the cats here in the area!
I have fostered momma cats and their kittens. Sometimes kittens that have lost their mothers and so I do know how to bottle feed. I have been volunteering, fostering, and cat sitting for over 25 years now. I also grow my own catnip. Please let me know if it is ok to bring some fresh out of my garden for your cat!
When I'm not pet sitting, I love to garden! Besides fresh catnip, I also grow vegetables and herbs. On top of this I run a small business. All my products are handmade and mostly for pets or pet related! I sell my product at pop up events and online.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 8 wonderful kitties! Timothy and Scarlett are brother and sister and the first two of this clowder. Next, I foster failed Colin and Kate, also brother and sister. Jaspurr showed up fifth. Cosmo I found when I was supposed to be getting the mail. Linus arrived last. And then I adopted Milo, cause we needed to have an even number.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am! I am super flexible and try to be available as often as possible. If you are looking for a sitter during a time I am not available, please reach out and I'll see what I can do!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When cats are timid and anxious and uninterested in hanging out with me, I make sure they have food, water, and a clean litter box and I try to at least get a "proof of life" photo. Other than that, I just spend my time at your home talking to them. Not all cats want to hang out with anyone that isn't their human, but I find that hearing my voice just calmly talking to your cats can help them want to come near me in the future.

I found this sitter contrary, demanding, condescending, difficult to communicate with and just very difficult to work with. Halfway through the reservation I called Meowtel to fire this sitter but they ignored my request, even though I’d found another sitter who had time and convinced me to give her another chance. I wish I hadn’t done so. I suggest that this sitter be AVOIDED.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Marysville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $35.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
