My current kitty, Jayne, has mild cerabellar hypoplasia (which happens when a kitten is born without the parts of her brain than control fine muscle movement being completely developed) and I understand my special needs baby on a deep level; I promise to care for your unique friend with equal love.
My love for cats has led me to volunteer with various cat shelters and rescues and I'm currently the intake coordinator for a rescue group... I have loved cats for as long as I can remember and there's always been at least one special kitty in my world for just as long.

I'm a very shy with people, I admit; I have high functioning autism and have always related more to animals than people. I'm gentle and friendly, though, and cats (as well as other animals) tend to approach me first; I'm not aggressive at a first meeting.
What sets me apart from other sitters is my compassion, intelligence, humility and experience as a genuine lover of cats. I'm also in Southern Marin County, and in close proximity, if that's where you are.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
40 years! Wow! That's a long time but I started caring for cats alone at a young age. I started volunteering at my first animal shelter, and specializing with cats there, 33 years ago.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know the personality of each kitty I meet. Cats are all so wise and wonderful that it's hard to decide what the very best thing is!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I'm brand new to the platform but I recently took a cat to the vet for a lady who had broken her hip. The cat needed her claws trimmed, and I'll do anything for a kitty, so I took the her to the vet. It worked out well and everyone, including the kitty, was pleased. EDIT: So, I've been with Meowtel a little while now and I really can't pick one favorite reservation. I'm excited to Meet & Greet each cat and get to know them during the reservation. I just love cats!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have one kitty and her name is Jayne; she's a adorable snuggler with a tuxedo coat and she has a little "burglar mask" on her face!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Hire me! Just kidding! In all seriousness, though, I do provide the loving care that you can be confident in entrusting me with caring for your cat(s). I'm also very good at providing detailed information about kitties and photos, which are important factors.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I'm available to visit kitties 365 days a year! Cat sitting in my full time career and I'm available whenever you need me, even if that means that I visit on holidays.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Mill Valley cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $40.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
