What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have had nothing but great experiences with cat sitting! I started in February of 2022 and have had over 25 clients since!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 4 cats! My family and I rescued a mom cat and her 4 babies back in May 2020. Unfortunately one of the kitties passed in May 2022 due to the FIP illness. I have the mom named Virgo (named after my astrological sign), and her three babies are Zeus, Boots, and Luna.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I recommend reaching out to the cat sitter you're interested in and asking any questions or concerns you have before booking! Not all cat sitters are experienced handling certain situations, so it is good to ask first before booking and assuming. Get to know your potential cat sitter as much as possible. I always enjoy answering any questions about my personal life and cat sitting expertise.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

When I come through the door, I carefully open it in case any cats are hanging by the door from the inside. This prevents them from running out if they do have a tendency of doing that. I always reach my hand out in front of them so they can get familiar with my scent. I then pet them gently so they know I mean no harm. In the house, I will look around in the general living space and listen for any odd noises. This helps me ensure it is only me in the home (unless otherwise told). This helps me feel safe during my visit. If I do notice anything strange, I will let the client know asap.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Most of the time yes. Please look at my availability on my calendar as I do close off dates as soon as I know I will be out of town or unavailable.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I am gentle with my movements and don't do anything that would make the cat more anxious or timid. Being on ground level with them also helps from what I have noticed. I speak gently and will do my best to get them calm. I do not and will not force them to come out if they are hiding.

Kristina has been helping us take care of our cats since 2022. She is caring and responsible. I enjoy seeing the photos of our cats while we are away from home. we just recently adopted a rumbunctious kitten and were not sure if we could leave them alone together. Kristina did a great job watching them for 2 weeks and it seems like the cats got along really well and are doing better than ever! Kristina is awesome and we really appreciate her!

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
