I’m Stephanie and I was born and raised in San Jose. I moved to La for college but have since moved back to the Bay Area for work. I’ve been my animal lover all of my life. I’ve been caring for pets since I was 12. Growing up, I took care of kittens, cats, dogs, as well as chinchillas and rabbits for my neighbors and family. I grew up with a tabby and cared for her once I was old enough, and even though it brought immense responsibility, it brought me a lot of joy to take care of her, and I have felt that with every pet I’ve care for... Hi!!

It’s truly one of the gifts of life and is incredibly rewarding. Hopefully, I will foster animals in the future once I buy my first house. Currently, I don’t have any pets living with me, and my family dog is living back home.
I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate your needs. I provide consistent updates and pictures/videos and can increase frequency as requested.
I understand what it’s like to be a pet parent and the stress it brings when leaving your cat with a sitter so I will do everything I can to make it easeful.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
It’s incredibly rewarding to discover a new cat’s personality and build trust. It takes patience and attentiveness, but it’s such a fulfilling process once they feel comfortable and safe. It’s the best once they are cuddly and finally see you as a friendly
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I do have availability during weekends, all major holidays and breaks. Please message and reach out to me to confirm which dates you need.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I carefully observe their body language and behavior, and will make adjustments to make them feel safer such as not making direct eye contact, offering an item with their owners scent like a shirt, play calming music tailored for cats, and offering treats to make them feel more comfortable. I give them some space as they get familiar with the new environment and am patient with any interactions. I provide a consistent schedule for feeding, check-ins, cleaning, etc. so that they feel more relaxed.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
