What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been taking care of peoples pets for over 20 years. Cats, dogs, rabbits, fish and even rats! Cats are my ultimate favorite animal and happy to spend time with them in whatever capacity they require. Playing, brushing, feeding, cleaning and spoiling- whatever they need, I’m here for it.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My sweet and social cat, Dante, passed away in February 2026, so I’m healing my heart spending time with other peoples cats (and dogs) while I wait for the cat distribution system to find me. I’m not in any rush to adopt, but I will never say “no” to an animal in need.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Some people and some cats are very particular about their requirements for care. Don’t be afraid to ask for specific things you’d like your cat sitter to do, and remember there is no such thing as too much information! I always like to know if the cat has a particular eat/play/sleep schedule, if they’ve got allergies or snack preferences, how you like the litter box cleaned (where to dispose of the waste), and I always encourage people to leave their cats veterinary information, just in case any emergency arises.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I am always careful when entering and exiting to be sure there is no cats trying to dart by. I’ll never open a window wider than an inch or two even if there is a screen, and I’m always aware of a cats body language and litter use to be sure even the most brave kitty’s are not able to disguise an ailment.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes. I am a transplant like so many others living in the Bay Area, and my family is spread all over the parts of the country that are hot and humid (with mosquitos) in the summer and snow in the winter, so I often stay pretty close to our perfect Bay Area bubble, even during holidays!

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love the ribbons, squeaky mice and lasers - but my favorite cat toy doesn’t matter, your cat’s does - and I’m happy to engage them with whatever toys they prefer! Did someone say “charge the robot feather ball” !?

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I’ve found that spending time sitting or laying down on the floor is often a good start to get a timid or anxious cat to let its guard down. Usually after several minutes of “ignoring” them while being at their level, their curiosity will give them the courage to investigate me!
