What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

With over 10 years of cat sitting experience, I’ve had the joy of caring for kitties of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I’m Pet CPR trained, spent 6 years working in pet rescue, and 3 years working hands-on at a cat café (yes, it was as magical as it sounds!). I’ve also fostered over 50 cats—everything from shy seniors to rowdy kittens—and only “foster failed” three times… which I consider an achievement and a badge of honor.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love the magic of earning a cat’s trust. Every cat is so unique - figuring out what makes each one tick (or purr!) is part of the joy.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I took care of two brothers, Bremy and Pongo and loved being able to spend time and play with them. I gave them nicknames and made up songs to sing to them which of course they loved! I also watered the plants, brought in the mail and picked the mangoes which I was allowed to take home!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have four cats - Bo, Thirteen, Sweets and Epponnee - and they are all named after TV show characters!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Interview several sitters until you feel comfortable. It’s hard leaving our babies and you deserve to enjoy your time away from them.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I double/triple check everything. I’ll never leave the property without knowing where the kitty is. I will also leave your property exactly how I found it, tidying as I go and respecting the space, as I would my own.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am very rarely away for the holidays. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work through the holidays with a minimal surcharge

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Cats do what they want, when they want and that’s what I love about them! If they want to hang with me, I love that, but if they don’t, that’s ok too. I talk (and sing) a lot on my visits so they get used to me. I get down to their level, hold out my hand for smells and never stroke them if they don’t instigate it.

Stop your search now. Aurora is the cat sitter for you!!! We couldn't have asked for a better lovely soul to care for our babies, Daisy and Luna. 🖤🩶 She went above and beyond. She fed the neighborhood strays and provided pictures of them enjoying their meals. Our own indoor kitties were so well taken care of. Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
