I’m Catalina! I’m a huge cat lover and genuinely get excited anytime I have the chance to meet a new kitty. I have four cats of my own, all with completely different personalities, so I’ve learned firsthand that every cat needs to be approached a little differently.
I also volunteer with the SPCA and have experience spending time with cats with a variety of personalities and comfort levels. I’m especially patient with shy, nervous, or fearful cats and understand that sometimes the best way to build trust is simply giving them space and allowing them to approach when they’re ready.
During visits, I’m happy to follow your cat’s normal routine, provide fresh food and water, take care of their litter box, play with them, give them attention and affection, and spend quality time with them so they aren’t just left alone. I also pay close attention to their eating, drinking, litter box habits, and general behavior.
I really want each cat I visit to feel safe and comfortable with me. Some cats want lots of cuddles and playtime, while others would rather have someone quietly sit nearby until they feel brave enough to come say hello. I’m happy doing either!
I know how much I miss my own cats when I’m away, so I completely understand how reassuring updates can be. I’m happy to send plenty of pictures and updates during visits so you can see how your kitty is doing. I’ll treat every cat I care for with the same patience, attention, and love I would want someone to give my own. 🐱❤️

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Honestly, getting to know each cat’s little personality! Cats are all so different, and I love figuring out what makes each one happy and comfortable. Some want to be attached to you the entire visit, some just want someone to throw their favorite toy 100 times, and others are perfectly happy having you sit nearby while they slowly decide whether you’re trustworthy 😂. I have four cats of my own, so I’m already completely obsessed with them. I love being able to give someone else’s kitty attention and companionship while their person is away, especially knowing their owner can relax because their baby is being genuinely loved and cared for.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I’m very careful about both the kitty and the home I’m being trusted with. I always follow the cat parent’s instructions closely, double-check doors and entry points, and make sure I know where the cat is before opening an exterior door whenever possible. I pay attention to eating, drinking, litter box habits, and behavior so I can notice if something seems unusual. Before leaving, I make sure food and water are taken care of, the litter area is clean, everything is secure, and the kitty is safe and comfortable. I also love sending pictures and updates during visits because I know how reassuring it is to actually see that your baby is doing well!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a huge soft spot for shy and anxious cats! One of my own cats was extremely scared and nervous when I first brought her home, so I know firsthand that you can’t rush a scared kitty into trusting you. I give them their space, keep my voice soft, move slowly, and let them decide when they’re ready to approach me. Sometimes that means sitting nearby and talking to them without trying to touch them, using treats or toys to build a positive association, or simply letting them hide until they feel safe. I’m completely okay if a kitty doesn’t want cuddles or interaction right away. Earning the trust of a nervous cat is honestly one of the most rewarding things to me, and I’ll always work at their pace. ❤️

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
