I’m Jamil (they/them) and my manager - my cat son Gary - has trained me by using his patented, critically acclaimed, training course called “Kitty Care: Applied & Theoretical TM”. And what can I say, I’m a believer of the product!
Dr. Gary's patented live-in approach of 4 years, has taught me all about humility and perseverance when given the special opportunity to tend to a cat’s needs. Through his program (vehement resistance) I have learned how to administer pills and topical treatments. If I have learned one thing, is to be as patient as I would want in an unfamiliar situation. So, whether your cat is rambunctious or timid, I will take the time to make sure all their needs are met. At the end of the day, I aim to provide peace of mind you're away.

Gary (my manager) is the sweetest, little rowdiest guy I've ever known. He loves attention, cuddles, and zooming about the house at break neck speed. He is a conundrum of a being and I love all the chaos he brings.
Are you usually available during holidays?
My full time job has the majority of federal holidays off, outside of leave that I use myself so I'm availability to cat sitter on most major holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
For Gary's 4th adoption day I bought him a cat wand that's interchangeable with 3 different toys at the end. And watching this little guy is like watching a little Panther. It just fills me with great pride.

This was our first time using a cat sitter. Jamil sent lots of pictures to show that my cat was being social and felt relaxed. She communicated every day about how Jasper was doing. I was especially happy that she was willing to come during the holiday. All went smoothly and I would use her again.

Jamil was absolutely amazing and incredibly professional - she was so careful and loving with my cat, and went above and beyond by being responsive to all my requests, including dealing with my problematic cat feeder and even watering my plants (which wasn't part of her job). Her attention to detail and work ethic really stood out. I was genuinely impressed by her dedication and would definitely hire her again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Sacramento cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
