What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for 3 years now, and I have worked with all types of cats - seniors, kittens, shy, and spicy. I love how human like they are and how they all have their distinct personalities!

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I am available on almost every holiday of the year and enjoy being able to bring peace of mind to owners who want to travel for their holiday.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When working with shy or anxious cats, my Golden Rule is to respect their boundaries and autonomy as much as possible. I avoid making loud noises and talk to them in a calm and soothing voice. I always let them smell my hand at an arm's length and let them get used to my scent, and pay attention to their reaction. Often I will provide a treat or two (tossing it from a distance) to create positive association. And I let them take their space if they want it. There's nothing worse than trying to force an interaction, which will only make them more scared and less trusting! I believe that by respecting their boundaries and allowing them the time to get to know me is what creates trust in the long run.

Elizabeth always goes above and beyond with our cat. Even though our cat isn’t very social, Elizabeth always gets photos and finds a way to get her out from under the bed while still respecting her space. She’s cleaned up cat pee and moved plants that may be dangerous. We are so grateful for her!

Liz is the best! We needed a cat sitter after moving from La to Sac and couldn’t find anybody until Liz. She is amazing with our furball. She keeps us up to date on check ins sends pictures plays with our little guy and he purrs when he sees her. She also is great with his special medication needs and handles everything with grace and professionalism. THE BEST!! Highly recommend her

Elizabeth is amazing! She house sits my cat when I am out of town and knowing that she is with him allows me to enjoy my time away. She took the time to learn his routine so even with me gone he has minimal stress. I get photo + video updates at least twice a day so I know how he is living his best life without me at home. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful and caring cat sitter.

Elizabeth is wonderful with my cat. She arrived promptly for our meet-and-greet, and even though my cat is on the shy side, she warmed up to Elizabeth very quickly. While I was away, Elizabeth sent lots of photo updates and even a video of my cat happily purring, which gave me real peace of mind. Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
