I’m a full-time marketing manager and have always been WFH... Hi! My name is Rina and I am a certified cat lady. I have had cats or volunteered/fostered for about five years. I’ve had three forever fosters: Violet (a sleek older grandma black cat with stage 4 CKD), Nora (sweet round black cat with cancer), and Goose (a grandma grey and white cat who had IBD). Forever fosters have medical needs and I have experience with administering oral, topical, and injection meds as well as subQ fluids. My overall cat experience includes kittens, healthy cats, older cats, kidney cats and cancer cats!

I’m a full-time marketing manager and have always been WFH. My schedule is therefore a bit flexible since I’ve never had an office. If you don’t mind me working from your home, I’m happy to sit and provide some human company to your fur babies as well!
I live in the northern Ballard area and will travel within a 3 mile or so radius. Weekends and holidays tend to be more flexible for me so if you are outside of this range, feel free to submit a request and I will let you know asap whether I can cat sit or not.
I have a very high degree of confidence in my cat photography and videography skills, so you can be sure to have some amazing mementos of your kitties while you were away. Feel free to take a look at my gallery for some examples.
My hobbies include pottery, pole dancing, checking out the newest coffee shop, and anything related to culture/arts. I speak Japanese fluently and Korean conversationally.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Lemons is a sassy 14 year old tortico with total tortitude. She is extremely vocal and independent, but will make air biscuits when you hold her a certain way and also pat her side at the same time. She has learned “sit”, “paw” and will also stand for churu treats!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I will do a ~30 min complimentary Meet and Greet to make sure we’re comfortable with each other - both human to human and me with your kitties. I take this time to go through the cat routines of food, water, litter, toys, and anything additional I need to know such as what your kitties’ personalities are like or if they have any medical needs and what they are.
What is your favorite cat toy?
The cat dancer has been the cheapest and most reaction-inducing toy amongst all of the cats I’ve had. Catnip is super hit or miss - cat dancer is the way to go!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I’m confident with my ability to lure out your timid and anxious kitties! In my entire sitting experience there’s only ever been one cat that refused to meet with me. All other cats have warmed up during some point of the reservation leading to some great exchanges and photo/video moments.

Rina took extremely good care of my cats. Updates were frequent and included good pictures & videos of my cats being entertained. I also have a very shy cat who does not warm up to people easily. Rina was extremely patient with her, and went the extra mile to ensure that she still got a good serving for dinner desoite often hiding away under a blanket.

The meet and greet was quick but thorough; she took notes, asked all the right questions, and even tested the spare key in our lock before she left. She sent an update with pictures/video during each visit and my cats seemed to warm up to her immediately (and no issues medicating our sassy calico or shy hoarding boy!) The gang was completely unimpressed by our return home, which to me is the sign of a great cat sitter 😅

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Rina did a great job on communication and engaging with our two boys: Morphy and Neo. She had made a great first impression with Neo who doesn't open up to strangers right away. We were away on vacation for 6 days and booked Rina for 5 and they went well. Although there was a calendar conflict that had occurred on the first day, it was quickly resolved by the next day. Had received plenty of photo/videos and status updates of the cats demeanor and them playing. Helped us alot to have a peace of mind without worrying much about their wellness. I highly recommend her and will be booking her for future trips.

Rina was very thorough with all of the daily care my cats would require. She sent daily updates with pictures and videos and on how the cats were eating/drinking as well. She even went above and beyond and offered to water my plants and vacuumed the common area on her last day. She is amazing!
