One of my favorite things about cats is how rewarding it is when you earn their ... I've adored cats my whole life and take every opportunity to show that love back to them! I grew up with dogs and wasn't able to adopt my own cat until after college, so eventually I volunteered with a local rescue and fell in love with cats even more! 😻 Soon after that, I moved somewhere that allowed cats and I adopted my orange boy, Ringo, who's been my (big) baby ever since.
One of my favorite things about cats is how rewarding it is when you earn their love, so I don't take it personally if a kitty takes a little time to warm up. It just makes it all the more special when they do!
I let the cat set the pace, whether they're ready for scratchies or want some space to observe first. After they have food, water, and litter all set, it's their choice whether they want to play, be pet, or just watch me hype them up like a personal paparazzi taking pictures of them for you. As long as they're happy, I'm happy!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
When I first started cat sitting for my neighbor, her cat pushed past a barricaded door and hid behind the dryer during her first day home alone. For the rest of the week, whenever I visited, she would watch me refill her food & water, scoop her litter box, then sit on the floor so she knew she wasn't alone. And during the next round of visits, with a better barricade blocking the laundry room, she finally accepted a Churu and chin scratches! These days she greets me by the door for scratchies and belly rubs (she even makes air biscuits while flopped on her back), meowing from between my legs about how long it takes me to put canned food in her bowl
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one orange boy, Ringo, who I adopted during the pandemic. He's 12 years old now but still just a little baby ❤️
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let the cat set the pace, which can range from holding my hand out for a more bold kitty to sniff or just sitting on the floor where they can see and smell me from where they are. They can come investigate me when they're comfortable with it, I'll be there!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
