I'm the proud cat mom of four wonderful boys: Bently, Patron, Cuervo, and Taz, who range in age from 6 to 15 years old. Cuervo, my adventurous explorer, is always curious and ready to discover new things. Bently, at 15, is my laid-back lounger who loves cuddles and affection. Taz, the youngest at 6, keeps the energy high with his playful spirit, always ready for a game or a chase. Patron is a delightful mix of all three—adventurous, affectionate, and playful—making him the perfect blend of his brothers' personalities. Together, they’ve taught me so much about cat behavior and care.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toys are kickaroos and feather dancers because they keep my cats entertained for hours. However, sometimes the simplest toys are the best—like a Cat Dancer, which is just cardboard and wire but somehow manages to captivate their attention every time. It’s proof that you don’t always need fancy toys to make a cat happy!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I understand how to handle timid or anxious cats because a couple of my own cats are the same way around new people. I approach these cats with patience, giving them plenty of space and time to adjust to my presence. I avoid sudden movements and loud noises, using soft tones to help them feel more comfortable. I also let them come to me on their own terms, never forcing interaction. Building trust with a shy or anxious cat is all about respecting their boundaries and creating a calm, stress-free environment where they feel safe.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
