What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is discovering each cat’s unique personality and earning their trust at their own pace. A slow blink, a head-boop, a surprise cuddle, or a burst of zoomies always feels like a little victory. I especially focus on helping the cat feel confident while their humans are away. Over the years, I’ve picked up a lot of techniques from “cat school” training videos on YouTube, and they’ve been incredibly helpful for supporting timid or anxious cats so they feel safe, comfortable, and proud of themselves by the time I leave.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have a kitty named Zoe, who I originally fostered and instantly fell in love with. When I first fostered her, she was the most nervous cat I’d ever seen. She hid behind the toilet for days. I spent a lot of time sitting with her, speaking softly, making her feel safe and loved, and letting her come to me when she was ready. Shortly after, we became the best of friends and cuddle buddies. She’s been with me for almost 5 years now and is truly the queen of the house. She’s elegant, opinionated, and full of love. She’s taught me so much about patience, communication, and the joy of earning a cat’s trust. Having my own cat has helped me understand the little things that make kitties feel safe, happy, and adored.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I’m usually available during holidays with at least two weeks’ notice. I take commitments seriously, especially when it comes to making sure your fur baby is well cared for while you’re away. I know how important peace of mind is during travel, and I’m dedicated to providing reliable, loving care so you can enjoy your holiday worry-free.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Santa Monica cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $35.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
