Over the years, I’ve cared for cats with a wide range of personalities, from formerly feral cats to affectionate lap cats. Growing up around cats and adopting my own has taught me how important it is to respect each cat’s routines, boundaries, and comfort level... My love for orange cats began years ago through a friendship with our neighbor’s cat, Homer. From that moment on, I knew I wanted an orange cat of my own, and I’ve had orange cats ever since. Caring for them has given me plenty of experience with strong personalities, firm opinions, and lots of charm, while also reinforcing how different each cat’s temperament can be.
Over the years, I’ve cared for cats with a wide range of personalities, from formerly feral cats to affectionate lap cats. Growing up around cats and adopting my own has taught me how important it is to respect each cat’s routines, boundaries, and comfort level. I always approach care with the understanding that I’m entering the cat’s home and let them set the pace for trust, space, or affection.
I’ve come to deeply appreciate how important it is to have a trustworthy, reliable, and experienced person caring for my own cats—especially during times when work or travel took me away. Knowing my cats were in good hands made all the difference, and that’s the same peace of mind I aim to provide every pet parent.
I value clear communication and take pride in being dependable, observant, and calm. Cat sitting allows me to set my schedule intentionally so I can be present for my twin daughters, while also giving each cat the time, patience, and care they deserve. Cat people are special people—and life really is better with cats.

Yes! I have a four-year-old orange cat, Nelson—full of personality—and my first indoor/outdoor cat, teaching safety, routine, consistency, and attentiveness.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy, based on my current kitty, is a laser—it gives exercise and engages natural hunting instincts daily.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I handle timid or anxious cats by giving them space and allowing them to move at their own pace. After learning about the cat’s personality and routines from the owner, I approach care in a way that respects their boundaries, comfort level, and need for calm, consistency.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Sherman Oaks cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
